It's heavily restricted, you have to go to training courses and wait months for PTAs (permits to acquire) before you can buy anything. For example after doing your handgun course you'll be waiting about 12 months for your first buy. Semiauto licenses are available to farmers who show they need them and people who demonstrate they make a living from pest control (then I think its probably on a case by case basis).
