Russia is not even a threat. YES we are diametrically opposed on some political issues, but Putin is simply Russia first. Where there are disagreements, I think he will eventually realize he has more in common with the western world (ie USA) than China.

However I don’t think he is quite to the point of realizing that and honestly kind of fucks things up by viewing the US more hostile than China. He has a right to be wary of the US because we have so many bad actors embedded. But China is rotten top down all the way through. It would be foolish to side with them.
