That's nothing but paranoid bullshit. I live in NoVA and have taken the metro through sketchy parts of DC alone around midnight before with no issues. I'm also a tiny petite lady who looks like an easy target. Not saying people should be reckless but people spreading hysterical disinfo that serves no purpose other than to discourage people from coming here is fucking stupid.
