80s pop culture kicks the shit out of today's pop culture if you ask me. In the 80s you had macho action movies, heavy metal music, no social media sites, and if you wanted to see a naked lady you had to have a Playboy stashed under your mattress instead of just clicking a few links on your PC.
Yeah, all very true. The video game scene was also much simpler, and IMO better, as well. Of course, I was born in the 80's so I only got to experience a sliver of the glory that it was. But I feel like most of the 90's wasn't all that different.
