Have you had your gun safety class yet? The one I took, the instructors had a variety of guns you could try during range time. They can also answer your questions about pros and cons of various models.
Not an official training yet but that will be our next step. Even though the trainers said we had pretty much all it was needed but I want to take it to the next level. I want to try all sort of available training classes I can sign up.
The guys were so amazing that spent extra time with us teaching us all sort of safety and aiming tips. Gun cleaning as well. I’m forever in debt with them.
An interesting finding was the ammo was cheaper that what I could find online under ammoseek.com
I should mention my local Gun Range treated us like family and took extra time teaching us all the basics. I feel embarrassed on how much time they spent helping us. They are also based AF
A properly trained and broken-in new gun owner will be less likely to shoot themselves or others, accidentally. Train and practice, practice and train. And then do some more. If you can get outside, or find a CQB course, that would enhance your experience. Train for your experience: whether for a job, on the job, to and from the job, or just your neighborhood.
I taught myself how to shoot, many moons ago, still have my original .45. When I finally did take a gun safety course, I didn't have to relearn much.
Respect the gun, control the gun, be responsible for what comes out of the gun. And have fun.
Looked it up, and I am not familiar with it. I'm an old-school shooter, putting lead downrange, and I have found that not all firearm training aids or Systems are compatible with everyone's own style.
Try it out. If it works for you and the Mrs., bravo. But experiment with other styles and find one that works for you and for her, and for the situation(s) in which you may find yourselves.
The best gun for any given situation is the one you have in your hand. Fancy training, fancy add-ons, fancy tech ($$$) will avail you nothing, if you're not comfortable with the gun you find yourself with.

Cats are pissy because they are nature's perfect little killers but they only weigh eight pounds and people constantly pick them up and snuggle them.

It seems to me it was a good deal.
Not yet - CWL class after Christmas , hoping I can meet some folks there that can point me in the right direction.
There's no problem there, believe me.
I just got my first gun last week (G19 Gen5) and my wife (Glock 43x) and we are in love.
I’m new to owning guns as well and the pedes here helped me out big time.

Amen brother! Question, are you familiar with the MantisX system? I see people recommending this for dry shooting practice.
