I would encourage the MODS to get ahead of the calls for people to illegally bring guns to D.C. I hold an FFL and I will not be going armed. You are just asking for trouble you just don't need. Don't encourage others to knowing break the law and those considering it should be aware the people encouraging them to do so are either opposition or will not be doing it themselves.

To be fair, wouldn’t that be your only option if you were to get pulled over on your way there, for example? If they’re going to place you under arrest for an unconstitutional law that our unconstitutional judges will enforce, wouldn’t that require you to shoot people just to avoid going, unconstitutionally, to jail?
I agree that our constitution is being ignored and desecrated, but I think he’s just saying you need to be sure that this January 6th is the hill you’re willing to die on if it comes to that. Otherwise you may be serving some jail time, and we’d all have to hope that Trump pardons you. We would have one less patriot to fight by our side, or celebrate with, after that day.
We’re all adults though, so if some of us are willing to take the risks of being armed, then that’s a choice for each of us to make on our own. Travel in caravans if at all possible to avoid being pulled over and fucked with. Pull over with any patriots that may get pulled over. Let the police know that they’re being watched. Good luck!

Are you yourself going to D.C.? Do you have a license to carry in your state? If so, have you checked the reciprocity of your issuing state to see which states you can legally travel through while in possession of a firearm? Upon arrival will you open carry (totally illegal in D.C.) or conceal carry? (still illegal without proper D.C. license since D.C. does not offer reciprocity for any other state's licenses)
I strongly suspect you will answer no to most of this.

I have an FFL so I've forgotten more about 2A than you'll ever know about it. I also know enough that although I have the legal right to carry in all 50 and D.C. that encouraging those who do not have lawful permission to do so would be highly irresponsible and would only make it easier for further gun control laws to be forced on those of us who do abide by the law. Laws are not optional when you're not a democrat. You seem to not be cognizant of that fact.

D.C. has shall issue carry permits now, but it's still very limited as to what areas in DC you can carry, assuming you already have the permit, ofc.
D.C. arguably has the most strict gun laws in the country.
