I was considering doing fund raising and buying up every pitch fork / hay fork I could come across and delivering them / handing them out to random people. Say what you will, a 5' long wooden handled "tool" with 7+ spikes on the end of it is a rather nice "tool" to be in possession of. Ice and hay hooks are also great tools.
