Use U-block Origin and use the advanced user option. Then disable 3rd Party Frames for all sites (that's where the vast majority of cyber attacks come from), and also disable 3rd party Scripts unless you're using a site you trust. You can also examine what all sites are trying to open or gain access when you open a given page, and disable them individually to ensure you're not giving access to people and websites that you don't want giving your information to. Google and Google Analytics (and often twitter and facebook as well) for example are tracking you on every site you go to if you use Chrome unless you use a blocker to disable them.
