More importantly though, just because your ISP may be tracking you does NOT mean you shouldn't care about others tracking you. I care much more about Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc tracking me than I do an ISP. And if you use a trustworty DNS server, your ISP can only track so much.

There are different levels of anonymity. Banning trackers for 3rd party websites is a thing though, and VPNs also help.
