Several congressmen say they don't want to "override our democracy" (how ironic), but maybe if we up the ante a little bit, and several senators and congressmen know their job won't exist in a few days if they sell out, it might change attitudes a little bit.

I guarantee you Congress fucks us on the 6th. The only reason we have a few GOPers saying they will object is to make themselves look good. It's all political theater. It takes both the Senate and the House to uphold these objections, and they need a simple majority. The House will surely vote to overrule any objections, and even though we have a majority in the Senate, I bet they will, too. Absolutely nothing will come of this, and then on the night of Jan. 6th, Trump will send out several strongly-worded tweets.
This isn't "dooming" shit. We need to wake the fuck up and face reality.
Sadly, I agree. I think it's all political theater (maybe it always was). I wouldn't be surprised if Trump is simply going through the motions at this point, just tweeting and giving his supporters what they want. The thing is, I don't want tweets saying "we won" and "they cheated", if he's not going to do anything about it. I don't want to be bullshitted. Now if he really is going to take some kind of drastic action, fine, but if not, I don't want or need sunshine blown up my ass.
