Several congressmen say they don't want to "override our democracy" (how ironic), but maybe if we up the ante a little bit, and several senators and congressmen know their job won't exist in a few days if they sell out, it might change attitudes a little bit.

We are too intermingled now. Back when the South seceded, the economies of the Northern and Southern states weren't nearly as intertwined. No energy grid that netted us all together either. We are really a melting pot now, and you can't separate ingredients easily if at all.
The commies have been infiltrating our entire system for well over 60 years. The have utterly compromised the information stream, the communications stream and education. They have bought critical infrastructure and large parts of our food supply flat out. They have infiltrated government even in the reddest of states, witness once red AZ with a commie SoS, commie AGs, commie judges and more.
Secession isn't an option. If we want to save what is left of the Republic, we *must clean house, and remove the leftism from our culture, institutions, government and businesses. If we did try to split now, then China and others (like the UN) would have a good excuse to try and inject themselves into our internal conflicts.
