I mean anyone with a basic understanding of biology knows that viruses will mutate and how many times has this bug mutated already. It just so happens the media will not talk about those mutations because mutating to be inert would destroy the panic milking.

Bullshit. There are dozens of strains, I saw a genetic map of all of the strains back in March and it's huge. That's why it causes everything from pink eye to gastrointestinal problems.
