I get looks and some huffs and muttering, but generally no one says anything and some people are even friendly. We must chip away at the lie, one maskless pede at a time.

If there were only more like you pede!!! you are doing the Lord's work!

I have never worn a mask...... I refuse.

Commie bastards... I intentionally go down the wrong way in grocery store isles. Every inch that they try and take, I will fight it.

The grossest part of it is how many “Republicans” go along with masks and Covid. It’s bizarre.

Stekky75 31 points ago +31 / -0

I went shopping the other day with my senior parents. They are extremely "pro-Trump" and yet they tried scolding me for not putting on a mask as we entered. I think my mother was embarrassed to be around me as she didn't talk to me in the store. I don't think they totally buy the mask/virus thing but they just like appearing normal and don't want to cause a scene.

Lots of people willingly bow to peer pressure even if there is none. (I saw it on TV! People are getting in arguments!!) So they believe that is just what happens when you don't wear a mask. I have only once put a mask on to enter a store and that was at Costco, which I refunded my membership since. Not once has someone said anything other than would you like a mask? Nobody stares. The thing I have noticed is that people who used to NOT wear a mask were around 50% back in May, now its down to around 3-5% of people not wearing masks. My liquor store for instance, the owner and the employees don't wear masks so 50% of people going in don't either which leads me to believe its all about fitting in.

I went maskless in Walmart today and saw a few others. Wanted to say "S'up gangstas?" but my family was already ashamed of me. I am working on redpilling them, but as you mentioned "Lots of people willingly bow to peer pressure even if there is none"...they are just so concerned about what others think.

I literally say "alright! I found another free American!" And give them a fist bump. You wouldn't believe the smiles I get when I let them know they're not alone. People need to know they are not hated by everyone.

15
ChilledCovfefe 15 points ago +15 / -0

Agreed I think the crazy social media posts we all see with crazy nuts attacking people without masks are causing people to expect confrontation. This is probably pretty rare in reality. I have been maskless except for a few small store visits, doctor office and church and never had a negative word said to me.

I was asked in Aldi if I needed one and said no, the poor guy hated even asking me, he even apologized when he happened to walk out to the parking lot with me. He said he hated wearing the things all day!

The more people that do this, the faster this overreaction falls apart.

Yes I’m tired of it. Keep up the refusals to comply. What gets me is why doesn’t the general public question the end game? We’ve been doing masks since when, March/April? It hasn’t worked, and it won’t. So when does it end? In a month? A year? Never? STUPID. We’re supposedly the most advanced we’ve ever been, and we’re to believe untested fabric over our face are supposed to protect us from a highly contagious virus that no one is dying from? People realize your eyes are still exposed...also, scientists who deal with actual deadly viruses wear hazmat suits and go through decontamination rooms, but masks work. Ya ok.

Not_The_FBI 32 points ago +32 / -0

Good job Pede! I've been doing that in mine for months now. Was only ever approached about it once, and I told them no. And they left me alone. They don't even say anything to me when some Karen complains about me. They're like 'We ain't fucking with that guy. We like him. He's nice to us.'

I went to the pet store and the grocery store today without a mask. No one even seemed to notice, much less say anything. Blue county, blue state.

16
Crlsniper 16 points ago +16 / -0

These stores really don’t care anymore especially the bigger ones were they get hundreds or thousands of people a day. Outside of a couple of places they had rent a cops guarding the door I haven’t had any issues in awhile.

13
ovitz 13 points ago +13 / -0

Went to the store with my friend today. Didn’t wear a mask. I mentioned it later and even he didn’t notice.

10
rosie 10 points ago +10 / -0

If you're polite and well-behaved and don't draw attention to yourself, it's likely no one will notice (unless they're mask Karens already).

2
concealedaces 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. You just have to not make a big deal out of it and walk in with confidence. I've never been told to do anything by anyone working there

1
rosie 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just be polite, quiet, and don't draw attention to yourself (including what you wear). I've been "reminded" a couple of times in the past month or so, but as soon as I tell them I'm medically exempt, they say, "Oh, ok" and leave me alone.

30
Tallsie 30 points ago +30 / -0

I went to my local grocery store without a mask. Not a word was said to me. I didn't even get a dirty look.

I also when to an auto parts store without one. One clerk was wearing his below his nose. I was confronted by three workers. I said "no thank you." One dude said I had to wear one, but if I didn't want to they would be glad to "wait on me outside." I pointed to the clerk and said "you think that is giving you protection?" I declined to go outside and told him I will wear it, but you know masks don't work. Then he made a statement that sums the whole thing up perfectly. He said, "Even if they don't work, but you still have to wear one." Unbelieveable.

15
bonejack 15 points ago +15 / -0

Should have told them they will never get your business again and then walked out. That is one of the remaining powers we have. Vote with your wallet. If we all make it hurt for them, they will tell their employees to leave you alone. The state has very little authority to make you wear a mask. They mandated that the stores do their dirty work for them. Most stores just put up the signs to CYA. But if you go to one ran by a Karen, make it hurt. Don't ever go there again.

11
Thep1mp 11 points ago +11 / -0

“ Even if they don't work, but you still have to wear one.”

That’s where you’re wrong, bucko. I may not be served, but I don’t have to wear one. Fuck these assholes. I only know of one store in my area that requires a mask. Unfortunately it’s the only hardware store for about 20 miles. Unfortunately for them I’m willing to drive and I won’t be returning to them even after masks are gone.

Well, you need a mask.

really?

Yes.

Turned around and found another way to my car.

My experience in smaller businesses has all been bad not wearing a mask. Every place I've been in refuses service. I was in Costco the other day near the entrance, and one of the entrance workers came over to hassle my GF for having her mask halfway down. Big hassle, then some skaggy karen came up and started throwing a fit! I don't need that shit during my day! Bottom line, my experience has been go without the mask, get hassled, make a scene, get thrown out, or put the mask on anyway.

Tell me about the grocery? Is this rural or metro? Do you get turned away at the checkout counter?

16
Tallsie 16 points ago +16 / -0

My local hardware store owner told somebody they don’t have to shop in her store when they asked why she and her employees were not wearing a mask. Small town USA is full of traditional America, it’s why the elites want us unemployed and on drugs!

10
Crlsniper 10 points ago +10 / -0

Same it’s like the smaller stores are trying to kill themselves. Nearly any mid to large store just ignores me, it’s the smaller chains or independent stores where I get the biggest headache from where it’s either complete enforcement or not even the staff are wearing them. I never know which it will be.

16
MoldyLocksNesMonste 16 points ago +17 / -1

It's because the smaller stores cannot afford the $10K health dept. fine.

13
Anon1970 13 points ago +13 / -0

That is illegal but the public doesn't know. I go to my local Price Chopper grocery and have never worn a mask. One lady at the service counter asked me one day about a month ago if anyone ever bothered me about it. I said no and she proceeded to tell me that a few customers had called the Health Dept. on others who did not wear a mask. The HD came because they have to but could NOT do anything because there is NO law and there is no legal fine. I live in a state and county with "mandatory mask" BS. It is all BS folks!! These illegal unconstitutional mandates MUST be challenged, sue the shit out of these tyrannical power hungry leftist scum!!!

9
MoldyLocksNesMonste 9 points ago +10 / -1

Sue? Lol.

The judges are corrupt son. These same judges and DAs let antifa rioters off with no charges.

There is no justice. Until the judges, DAs, health dept. inspectors, and politicians pushing all of this start getting the arkanacide treatment, it will keep getting worse.

4
Anon1970 4 points ago +4 / -0

Agreed, except that these corrupt scumbags will get their due, but it won't be by the Mob mentality that they use. The rule of law is paramount and military justice will be necessary. The swamp is deep.

3
mty_green_go 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not all state health departments do that , but retarded business owners in non essential businesses don't seem to be very intelligent

8
BunnyPicnic 8 points ago +8 / -0

The reason small businesses, I think, tend to enforce it is because the fines and penalties hurt them more than billion dollar companies. A couple complaints gets you a few hundred dollars in fines. If everyone stopped wearing them, this all would end.

5
ineX0r2 5 points ago +5 / -0

Most based business I know of near me is enforcing masks. Small liquor store, if they get hit by the health department gestapo they lose their license, and therefore their business. Only takes a second and a smooth-brain leftist cunt to end good peoples' livelihoods.

4
BunnyPicnic 4 points ago +4 / -0

I can't blame them. It's a fucking shame. Its the same with my grocery store. I didn't wear a mask until July when they were not allowing people in the store. Nah then, I said to myself, just wear the mask for a couple weeks. That was right after the best rth of July party I've ever had. The entire town of 10,000 were outside shooting of fireworks. Well past midnight. Everyone was mask free. Now we all look FAGGOTS

5
CA-Patriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

Every True Value Hardware and Home Depot I have been mask free. Also at Raley's / Bel Air grocery stores - Northern California. There is a local grocery store (part of a chain with Nugget) that has someone stationed out front making sure people have masks on - I don't give them business.

i live in a fairly authoritarian state (not as bad as cali or ny)

i work at a place where everyone wears masks except for me. nobody cares and everyone is extremely friendly with me. the regular (and irregular) vendors don't care, the clientele doesn't care, upper management doesn't care. it makes me very happy that nobody is scared of me. seems like they're just scared of getting in trouble with state/local government.

im the only american on the payroll if that matters. everyone of my colleagues are from brazil. so tbh i'm the only one with true american spirit

the head honcho is a lovely person and i talk to her all the time about how "covid" is a fake virus and were in the midst of a fake pandemic and how absolutely horrible it is for our society and how biden's actually gonna wind up losing and she's 100% onboard with all that... but she's still a mask-in-the-car wearer... i dunno man...it's really hard to get to some people

I’ve been completely maskless in the grocery store now for months, I go every week and always have at least 2 kids with me (none of them in masks either). I’ve noticed a really interesting trend that seems to jive with what I’m reading here - fewer and fewer maskless now, BUT I’m also getting less and less “dagger eyes” too. Today I tried an interesting new experiment and also wore a VERY obvious bright red Keep America Great hoodie and got SO many more smiles, winks, nods, folks pulling their masks down around me, and general comments about “hey I like your shirt!”. So yes, I agree - I think it’s become more and more about people not wanting to be “different” or cause a scene. I’ve never once had a grocery store employee ask me to put a mask on, just occasionally as I’m walking in I’ll get the “do you have a mask ma’am?” ... to which the response is always a truthful “yep, thanks!”. It’s not about the masks/virus debate (which I am always happy to have as a healthcare provider... spoiler alert - they don’t stop viruses). It’s a general unwillingness of people to be different or stand up for themselves and their God given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This crap has to stop.

I had a relative complaining about "uneducated rednecks" not wearking masks today. I told him "washing your hands with warm water and soap for more than a couple seconds occasionally was the recommendation at the beginning of all this. Basic sanitary practice is one of the defining features that separates areas with SARS epidemics from places that don't have SARS epidemics."

He's in the medical field so he had a big thonk about it, agreed I was right, and now is in a state of confusion form cognitive dissonance overload. 🤣

About once a month I get push back for not wearing a mask. Usually it's from an employee of the store, in witch case, I try to put a smile on and let them know I refuse. But sometimes they're complete dick heads and I explode and make a scene. Happened today in big 5. I'm so Fucking tired of this shit. I am finding it harder and harder to be polite.
I have had one patron at Walmart tell my whole family to to our masks on in a very rude tone, I immediately lost my shit. It felt great.

My local spot where I have lunch daily hasn't shut down inside dining, going against Gruesome Newsom's mandate. At lunch today (order at counter, three registers) at the same time: Me and wife at register #1. A 60+ year old man at register #2. A 65+ year old man with his 90ish year old father at register #3. Plus a 30-something guy waiting near counter for his to go order.... All six of us had no masks. I actually snuck a selfie with the other guys in the background to text a friend, I was so amazed.

Take the mask off. I just told my wife I’m not bothering with it anymore. I wore it 25% of the time, usually only in small shops with the impression that I might jeopardize their business. I’m done! Let’s set an example! Encourage people to take it off if you are in a place having a conversation. There was a big post here earlier where a guy created a chain reaction at a data clause event and a hundred people stopped wearing them!! The owners were delighted!
