Of course it was going to be useless. There is a reason no drug company has ever really marketed a coronavirus vaccine. They found out decades ago that it’s just not really a good solution for a variety of reasons. If there was a way to do it, and make money, they would have already done it. Zinc, HCQ, and a bit of common sense is all we need.

The veterinary side of things has sought a Corona vaccine for decades with no success, hence their suggestion back in Feb or so that there would be no viable vaccine for the Sars2.

Interestingly, its been pointed out that the 'Rona' has yet to be challenged by widespread vaccination, which logically would lead to even faster mutation and 'Vaccine Escape' :O

Then there's the old saw that suggests viruses trade lethality for transmissibility. Which if it holds true for the Sars2 would mean that a not very lethal to healthy beings virus gets even less dangerous.

All in all, the various riders in the vaccine rodeo may well have but a limited time in which to gather in the spoils.
