GOP has been compromised since Nixon. Nixon was a good candidate with great policies. He actually did a lot of great things in office.
But, he got in bed with Howard Hunt who ran his goon squad. He’s also suspect #1 for killing JFK.

He was still running Zapata oil during the assasination, but was in Dallas that day. Even called in a fake tip to the FBI. J Edgar Hoover personally named Bush as the likely assassin.
