I'm having the same problem with my dad. My pushing him in the direction of truth has only made him lash out with more and more crazy leftist propaganda. Angry and taunting.
He used to be a pretty intelligent guy. But now it seems there's no reasoning with stupid.
You're probably better with it than me. I get so riled up, I've always been that way. I probably do more harm than good when I talk to people. But I just try and say the truth. I don't really sugarcoat it.
Honestly I think you're pissing in the wind trying to convince an old Democrat of the truth. My parents are life long republicans and I still frequently get angry and frustrated trying to convince them of the way things really are, they support Trump but are big consumers of fake news. Most older people are set in their ways unfortunately.
Everyone I know is a sheep that think the news would never lie to people. My mindset is: "I'm not crazy, I'm correct, but you will look stupid in the end."
Sorry to hear pede. I have the same problem. The msm IS the gatekeeper of information for many. I’ve heard so so many times, “if that were true it would be on the news,” or “the news said X.”
first of all why are you trying to teach your dad stuff? He's been alive way longer than you and has probably done just fine. The stuff you're interesting in probably doesn't interest him at all, so why would he take the time to do any research besides accepting what's been offered by the media, at face value. Sometimes there's more important things to be worried about (like having a steady job, building a family, and buying up property) than pointless 'conspiracies' (I agree, most are not conspiracies but rather true), anyways don't get too far down the rabbit hole because it really is a lost cause...

Bezmenov Articulated this.
came to say this. Worth watching his interviews about cognitive dissonance and demoralization.
he will believe you when the first negative effects hit him. thats the only way to wake him up

Ask him to watch Yuri Bezmenov.
Ask him why somebody like Trump is against war and human trafficking.
Ask him to read the constitution.
Ask him is he self identifies as an American.
sneak some mushrooms into his coffee.

The Media never lies , your Dad is right. 14 Days to Bend the Curve
I can 100% relate to this. My in-laws are beyond brainwashed by the media. I think about it 20 times a day and it hurts me so badly

This happened to my mother-in-law. We do not speak anymore.

Msm and big tech is literally against patriots today
