It already says in the article. The homeowner is not charged with anything, and the two criminals that survived get to share two FIRST degree murder charges due to a brilliant law in Louisiana that considers the death of their accomplices in an armed, violent crime to be murder charges for those who live.

I love that. If armed robbers break into your home and you nail some of them, the others get 1st degree murder. Genius!

I think those laws stem from the "I was only the driver" defense. Makes sense.
