Dude! Congress doesn't give a shit about their salary. With just one vote, they are guaranteed a multi-million dollar CEO position, consultancy gig, book deal, contract, etc...Not to mention what they invest from insider information. Why, the jobs their kids get from what the Congressmen vote on are worth more than 10 times the lost salaries.
