I have big hands and often hit an “i” when I mean “o,” and make other small typos.

Weeks ago, this was reliably correctable through the “edit” function. As of late, the edit function does not seem to reliably save my typo fixes.

On IOS 14.whateverthefuckiscurrent and Safari.

Indeed. Of course, on really busy threads the edit post gets separated from the original post by a fair distance, thus confusing everyone.

I always tried to use the “Spez: . . .” disclaimer for all edits other than very minor typos.

I’ve experimented with all your points above the line. Haven’t found a reliable way to do it yet; seems hit or miss.

I have used your approach below the line for more substantive changes.

Appreciate the feedback.

Hah. True.

No apologies needed, pede. Always helpful to hear others’ thoughts on technical issues like this.

Good question. I would really like to have a working edit button.

I've found I have to wait like 5 minutes after I post something before I can edit it reliably. Kind of sucks cause I like to type and post fast and usually need to fix something.

I’ve not experimented with such lengthy time delays. Perhaps that is it.

I think you have to give a reason for the edit you have to type in a reason and then save it but I could be wrong

I’ve experimented with that. Nothing seems to reliably make it work.
