Sorry for your loss. I get you, though. My mom and I were standing to my unconscious dad in the ER. Nurse said they’d move him to ICU as soon as a bed opened. Standing there in silence an alert came over the PA, “Code blue to ICU. Code blue to ICU.” I turned to my mom and said, “I think a bed just opened up.” Sometimes humor is needed, even at dark times.
