I witnessed two women (who work for the government) having a zoom conversation about their frustrations with redirecting their respective work forces towards alternate roles within the government.

Put another way: these women were annoyed with the "challenge" of finding make-work for all of the superfluous government employees who literally cannot be laid off.

Meanwhile, the entirety of the private sector - outside of select big businesses, of course - has been completely annihilated with tens of millions losing jobs. But oh those poor government workers being forced to do something productive with their time while still keeping a salary and benefits. When is someone going to vote to end their livelihoods?
