Same. I used to play Magic - before the game got 'woke' this year - and saw a ton of people talking about how they were going to spend their stimulus checks on blinging out their Commander deck, buying sealed product, speculating on Reserve List cards or other stupid shit.
I don't know why it doesn't occur to any of them - the ones with jobs and income right now - to save that money for a rainy day. The last of these stimulus checks, I paid for a minor car repair I'd been putting off, then put the rest straight into my emergency fund.

But then your money is worth less because of inflation, so you might as well have lost another few percent of your entire income.
