I'm looking into getting out of Commie Cali and know that the governor is probably the most based in the country. How has your experience living in SD been?

Been looking there also. So are thousands of others. Home prices sky rocketing
We’re in the Black Hills on the west side of the state. Moved here 10 years ago and I will NEVER live anywhere else.
Winters in the hills are more mild than you think, you don’t have to defend your politics (much), and the air and water is pretty much still as God made it-clean and fresh. More sunny days than any other area of the Midwest I’ve lived in too.
Just remember that the growing season is short enough that gardening success means cold frames and greenhouses for a lot of crops.
In a nutshell, it’s the closest thing to heaven I’ve found.
Grew up here. Lived in Cali for awhile.
The winters make you hearty and you learn to appreciate discomfort.
The public schools still have a few communists but all in all its tops.
Two of my brothers and their families both live near Sioux Falls. Great place. Free-est state in the Midwest.
