I keep seeing people say that politicians fear antifa, the only people who fear antifa are local store owners on the streets they frequent. Politicians pretend to be afraid in order to push whatever agenda they believe in. Antifa is absolutely nothing to them, with one order they can clear them out, they just choose not to.

I agree with this post's headline, I mean I do think people should be encouraged to exercise their 2A rights, especially considering the situation around this protest, but don't get arrested by the DC polit police before the actual protest out of being stupid by broadcasting your own weapons in advance. They're there in case they're (hopefully not) needed and to make a point on the day.
But as far as the rest / optics goes? Who the hell even cares anymore? They don't give a damn, they'll call you a Nazi for disliking George Soros, an actual Nazi collaborator.
