I agree with this post's headline, I mean I do think people should be encouraged to exercise their 2A rights, especially considering the situation around this protest, but don't get arrested by the DC polit police before the actual protest out of being stupid by broadcasting your own weapons in advance. They're there in case they're (hopefully not) needed and to make a point on the day.
But as far as the rest / optics goes? Who the hell even cares anymore? They don't give a damn, they'll call you a Nazi for disliking George Soros, an actual Nazi collaborator. They'll call you a Nazi if you're an orthodox Jew who votes Trump. They'll call you a Nazi whether your gay, black or w/e, look at how they attack the leader of the proud boys - or how Big Man Tyrone on YT was called the figurehead of the white supremacist movement online, you know, a black Cameroonian guy. Look at how pulling troops out of the Middle East is good until Trump does it, then it's bad.
Facts don't matter to that crowd so why should we care? They're in the process of trying to steal a fucking election and many are willing to turn a blind eye to that. Does anyone here think the Allies gave a fuck about their optics among the German populace while they were in the middle of the war? Fuck no.
