Sat in the ER waiting room for 4 hours. One of the St. Thomas hospitals in middle TN. IT'S NOT THEIR HIPOCRACY, IT'S THAT NO ONE IS SCARED.

My daughter went to the ER with a fever of 105*. Although they suspected COVID, they had her sit in the waiting room with dozens of other people for HOURS. She was too sick to think about it in the moment, but later she was really upset. "They suspected that I had COVID and they had me sitting with a lot of elderly people who were there for other things. One poor lady had a suspected stroke and they just left us together. Why the hell would they do that?!"

Yeah i once went to A&E and it was so full they told me the wait was 4 hours regardless of what was wrong with me. There was one person in the reception waiting, but on a normal day when it's not full there can be 10-20 in there. This guy didn't prove anything and he shouldn't shout like that.
My dad erroneously kept an appointment at a major hospital. When he arrived, it was just like this video. The desk person couldn’t believe he didn’t know his appointment was cancelled. The hospital was closed. This is a few months ago.

In the middle of the night, there's nobody in the reception. In my home hospital, we are currently at 100% capacity for our Med units. There is a few covid cases here, but the majority of pt's are the Boomers that had their appointments moved just prior to covid (minor cardiac pt's, meemaw that needed a hip replacement, popop that fell in the shower)
For you naysayers here, notice that the parking lot is empty of cars, not just the waiting room. There's no foot traffic, no hall traffic, no vehicle traffic. No guards told him to keep his voice down, because there are no patients to disturb...
During the first lockdown here, one of the hospitals closed a second location that was urgent care and light stuff because they couldn't afford to keep it open while not doing elective surgery and so forth.
You'd think if they'd had covid patients out the wazoo getting them extra money they could keep that place open to help people who don't need ICU care, but no.

No it wouldn't. There would be absolutely 0 people with an infectious disease in the reception/waiting area. If someone entered the reception and said they may have covid, they would be immediately isolated. That is standard medical procedure.

If you walk in to any Banner hospital right now and tell them you might have covid you will be sitting in the same area as other possible covid patients in the waiting area of the ER.
