As someone who was in healthcare, went to a top med school (no longer in healthcare, change of heart career wise), whose most friends are doctors, and someone who has a sister as a doctor; you guys need to stop believing that covid is bs. I hate shut downs as much as you all here. I disagree with them as well since they’re doing more harm than good. Covid though IS real. It IS killing people. My sister was so stressed this week being in the ICU and having to deal with numerous deaths (about 10 in a 12 bed icu).
It’s not fake guys and it’s frankly insulting that people don’t believe it’s real when I hear about deaths every single day from either my friends, my sister, or my mother. All people I trust. Covid is biological warfare, they’re not going to use a bs virus. I get it, you guys don’t believe in shut downs that’s perfectly fine. Don’t want to wear a mask? I get why and I don’t believe they do much too, but for the love of god don’t go around believing covid is fake. If you’re healthy and under 60, it’s going to be like the flu 99.9% of the time. Doesn’t mean though that there aren’t young people who have died. I have heard first hand stories of healthy 20 something year olds dying. Only a few, but still, it does happen. This week along I heard of 2 50 something year olds dying. Another older couple who both died after deciding to be lax about protecting themselves.
M'kay, so we should ban cars then? Because you know before Covid no one ever died, death is new with this. Oh wait, no it isn't. The whole planet didn't shut down when smallpox was rampant and wiping out entire communities, ffs. But over Covid we destroy millions of livelihoods?
You can die walking your damn dog tomorrow. If it's my time to go, fine. But I don't expect EVERYONE ELSE to rot with me.
