It's worth remembering that these countries that are fighting big-tech (Hungary, Poland etc.) know what real communism feels like.

It should be a massive warning to the world that they are having to do this.

I'm was born in Austria, lived there for 30 years and travelled all over eastern europe in my car. People who want communism never lived in a communist/socialist country or one that suffered through it.

The post-soviet countries i travelled to are very poor, If you go to any village or small city in Moldova/Ukraine/Belarus etc, you feel like you stepped back into the early 70s/late 60s. Infrastructure is dogshit, public transportation is dogshit, job market is dogshit and people are poor. Communism made it so that they were fed enough and paid just enough not to straight up revolt but not enough to accumulate generational wealth. So when the soviet union failed (which is inevitable with any communist/socialist country), people had no savings or wealth to fall back to and cities and towns were stuck in time without any real development and progress.

I highly recommend these fashion-socialist cucks from portland to move to any of these countries and see how long they can last without uber eats, their soy frappe and gluten free bread.
