Debt is irrelevant? Seriously?

All of this spending is just printed money from the Federal Reserve, all of this inflation is just another form of regressive tax impacting our savings. Our economy would be doing much better under a gold standard.

What if Trump is actually an economic accelerationist and he knows this system is untenable so he is trying to bring it down much faster than it would normally have taken?

So, he brings it down under his watch and destroys the entire economy, just to show everyone how bad the system is?

I'm a big fan of President Trump, I support him strongly and he's my hero. In fact, the deficit is my only critique of him and it needs to be sorted.

If you know the damage the system is doing bringing it down like that is pretty much the only option. They've been teaching fractional reserve banking in school for so long that people think it's not only normal but the only way banking should be conducted. The only way to get us back to a gold standard would be with a dollar crash anyway IMO, and one is inevitably coming so might as well get in in while you can.

I love Trump as well but the way he has treated the deficit is also the one thing I do not understand about his policies, but I think he has considered everything
