Like, this mindset makes absolutely no sense to me.
Because you're not a doomer, an entitled pessimist crybaby whose electric-appliance-driven life in 21st Century America isn't quite convenient enough to match the vision of the grand princely existence your ego dictates you "deserve", where everything is perfect, even geopolitically. When you see people celebrating and being optimistic, you don't feel a deep need to poop in that pool.
