After alcohol caused me nothing but problems in life I became a teetotaler a couple years ago. No I wasn't an alcoholic and I didn't need to go to a group I just put down a Guinness on my birthday and never picked anything back up. Sometimes I miss it, my family misses me hanging, and I get invited out less. However because DJT doesn't drink either I feel more cool these days!

After a while you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Yes exactly!
Thanks! The only reason I even bring it up is because I hate the narrative that gets shown a lot in media like you can only have fun at a party with booze. For example I had beer at my wedding but I didn't drink. Like if people want to drink and it doesn't bother them that's fine. Its just that some people view it as you won't join the party. I don't like it when that comes up you know.
it's an interesting narrative isn't it...
what do we know now about the percentage of people who will fall for a media narrative without realizing it's harmful?
ooo I see what you did there! Good point!
Been clean from all substances for 10 months now. Feels good. Clear mind. Keep it up.
Good for you.
Yeah this is year... 2 I think after a bit I think I will even stop counting. I wasn't even what I would consider a heavy drinker but point remained every bad decision every one night stand I wasn't happy about was linked to overindulgence.
Ive pretty much stopped drinking, I havent touched anything in a long time and havent felt the need to do so. I never was an alcoholic, so that wasnt an issue. I just havent felt the need to pick anything up.
Good for you! Detoxing from alcohol and non-nutritious food sucks at first but you eventually feel brand new. Sleep better, think clearer, geel happier. I love a good beer and burboun now and then ... everything in moderation.
