I always thought it made no sense to tax people under like 60K. So many people under 60K income qualify for welfare programs depending on your state and if your a single mom, etc.

It would be better to let people keep their income instead of taxing them and spending money paying people to run a program to distribute part of the money back...

Government is not efficient. Less government is better. Unfortunately the GOP nowadays is not a small government party either.
