I’m not sure the lack of degree would be such a hurdle. Experience is the main thing in the US. Of course this depends on your area of expertise. I have lots of immigrant friends, some have degrees and some don’t. We live in Arkansas, btw, which is plenty red and rural, although where we are in the NW there is a ton of Walmart and Tyson money so it is quickly becoming yuppified. But there are jobs galore!
