Crypto is the most pure for of commodity, even more than gold, because at least gold has some art and technological uses. Meaning: crypto is literally only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. It has no intrinsic value of its own. The price is determined by what someone is willing to pay to get it. This IMO is what makes it a poor vehicle for an investment (it doesn’t produce anything like land, property, or a company does). The fact that it is not a good investment does not mean that it is t a good currency.
