What are some of the best bussing options to get into DC?

As many of you here, I plan on being on the ground in DC on Jan. 6th, but am not trying to drive directly into DC. As such, I was wondering if any of the locals or frequent visitors of DC know what are some of the bussing options for nearby areas. Thanks in advance my fellow pedes!

Definitely take the Metro. The busses are so very slow.
