That's why the establishment tried so hard to find "something" on Trump.

I'd hope it's because they have enough to convict.

Now that it's so screamingly obvious that these nonsense conspiracy theories have done nothing but hurt our side, could we please, please, please, please, PLEASE STOP WITH THIS FUCKING HORSESHIT?

In his defense, if a current US attorney in NY or DE (maybe both?) have open investigations, why does there need to be a special counsel?

I enjoy your optimism, but one thing I've learned over the past 4 years is that if there is no mention of anything being done by the DOJ or any of the other agencies then you can go ahead and assume nothing is. No news is not good news.

I'm not being optimistic. I'm doubtful US attorney office is going to do shit. But I also do not believe that a special counsel can be appointed in these circumstances.

§ 600.1 Grounds for appointing a Special Counsel. The Attorney General, or in cases in which the Attorney General is recused, the Acting Attorney General, will appoint a Special Counsel when he or she determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted and -

(a) That investigation or prosecution of that person or matter by a United States Attorney's Office or litigating Division of the Department of Justice would present a conflict of interest for the Department or other extraordinary circumstances; and

(b) That under the circumstances, it would be in the public interest to appoint an outside Special Counsel to assume responsibility for the matter.

The "other extraordinary circumstances" is likely not investigating Hunter Biden. Not that I don't wish it could be. I just don't think it is.

When has a special council ever done better than a regular (Non-corrupt) federal investigation and prosecution could do. Not once. Anyone go to jail because of SC besides scooter? That would be a no. Huge waste of time and effort.

Federal elections are administrated by the state which has jurisdiction. Everything he says looks bad in the in the eye of the fake news, but factually correct.

Of course not. Because no one in government ever sees the light of justice. Birds of a feather flock together.
