This is why if you go to to change anything - you damn sure better be armed and ready to do what needs done.
From what I can gather the people here do not believe police are all bad and do not believe defunding the police will make colored fellas safer in general. People here also do not believe a man should simply follow orders if those orders are illegal. We want to believe that police officers will enforce the law, not orders. That's why they're called law enforcement officers.
The term "law and order" takes the word order to mean isentropic as opposed to commanded. We want to prevent disorder with the laws created by our representatives, approved of by our leader, and clarified by judges when we aren't sure if they're being broken or not.
I see. The more I think about it, the issue might come across this way to some:
-BLM and ANTIFA protests turn violent quite often, ours don't.
-BLM and ANTIFA have been taught to protest police, we haven't.
-BLM and ANTIFA demand cutting the resources for the police, we seen no value in that decision.
-BLM and ANTIFA have voted for democrats who cheated their way into office AND pandered to the above demands.
The police are protecting the very people (by just following orders) from the peaceful victims of fraud, and they're doing it with the very gear that the people they protect have promised to take away. The frustration comes from that quagmire. We need them to step aside so we can fight FOR them. Once they take the tyrants side they're not worth fighting for, and we are happy to resist them when the time comes. When BLM and ANTIFA show up to places they shouldn't be (like businesses with large glass windows) the police don't stop them from entering or exiting (or burning), but they don't mind showing up to stop us. They KNEEL to the left. We find it pathetic.
If violence broke out I think our guys are well trained and equipped to protect ourselves quickly and efficiently. We all know that when seconds matter police are only minutes away. Having the police closer only helps if they have the mentality of enforcing law, not acting like Pablo's security team. Those cops weren't there to prevent violence between the left and the right, they represent a heavily armed left and faced an unarmed right. That isn't violence prevention.
As far as burning bridges, yeah, I don't like to go to the extremes like some people here and on the left do. Emotion amplifies some of our reactions. I try not to make decisions and statements in states of high emotion. I like to point out the specific action as bad, but not paint with broad brush strokes if I can avoid it.
