gratz, you've won a free theology lesson:

the eschatological (end times theology) view you are referring to is called Premillenialism. It's a cuck view created by dispensationalists in the 1800s. Dispensationalism is a view that the bible is totally literal with no nuance, it is also from the 1800s. They both have roots in the sufferage and prohibition movement. Premillenialism is probably best known by the fiction series "Left Behind". It is probably the dominate view in the USA, but beyond the USA it is a minority view and is also a minority view historically. it's been used extensively by politicians and politically-inclined pastors to drum up fear and money.

the other main views are postmillennialism, which believes that the world will get better and better until Christ returns and amillennialism, which believes that the Millenium is now and that Christ already returned in 70 AD when the Temple was destroyed.

Only in dispensationalism does modern day Israel have a purpose. Dispensationalism is particularly disgusting because it basically gives modern day Jews an out, so that they do not have to be evangelized to.

Wow. No clue how brainwashed American Christians were. The Bible says, "preach the gospel to every living creature."

Ya... it's bad.

One of the largest orgs, (SBC), has a cucked-out president that has also bent to the will of the demonic BLM. He ironically called off this year's session and deemed himself president for another year too.

But we're not all bad. A lot of the Presbyterians are theologically sound still. And there is a growing and vocal movement among Baptists to return to their Particularist roots.

Could you give a description of Particularism? And where could I learn more about these factions? This is the first time I'm hearing about all of this.

Particularism is more or less code for "calvinist" among Baptists. It refers to the election of particular people. It was the original term used by Baptists (who split from the Presbyterians in the 1500s over infant baptism), it became a little used term by the 1700s and then in the 1900s came back into usage to avoid political persecution from the freewill baptists.

What's the difference between amillenialism and preterism?

These days? Not much. You'll be hard pressed to find a living amillenial who isn't also a preterist.

But there is a distinction between full on Preterism and the Amil. version. Full Preterists believe God is totally done working with Earth and will do nothing else on Earth. Full Preterism was deemed a heresy some time ago.

Amil. preterism merely believes that all/most of Revelation has already been fulfilled.
