https://www.wnd.com/2020/12/pelosi-claims-faith-oriented-lawmakers-say-dont-believe-science/

Now of course she has unnamed sources. She later goes on to say that she tells members of congress who tell her they don’t believe in Science because of their faith, why can’t they do both. As far as I’m concerned someone as evil as her should never lecture anyone about faith or science. She places her faith in ice cream, $20,000 refrigerators, blow dryers, and dentures. God is merciful, but you must accept His grace. Just like with Science, we must do our part. I’m going to go out on a limb and say she’s never looked at her soul because she sold it a long time ago.

Am I surprised? Nope. Am I sick of being called stupid for my faith? Yup. Because of my faith I know what’s in store for me, but man is it frustrating to read this crap time, and time, and time again. Ok, rant done for the day.

I thought lefties who love science also believe that men can magically become women because of feelings though. Is that science?

TheSwiftPepe 10 points ago +10 / -0

“Believe Science” is the single most unscientific phrase I’ve ever heard in my life and it’s their motto.

Infinite genders, babies aren’t human, men are womyn, churches spread COVID but sex with masks doesn’t, etc.

Leftism isn’t scientific at all. It’s a faith-based cult.

the scientific method was literally invented by catholics

the big bang - a catholic

Gregor Mendel was a priest

6
You_Aint_Black 6 points ago +6 / -0

The big bang was another priest, Fr. George Lemaitre. Copernicus was a cleric of the Church. Galileo was basically reprimanded with house arrest when he furthered Copernican models because he used his scientific theory (which was not widely accepted in the scientific community of his time, and was not proven to be accurate until much later) to contend the accuracy of scripture.

It's not the best point, as very few people had the free time to devote to study like folks attached to the church. Also, very few people got a good education outside of the church at the time.

Historically, most scientists in the West were Christian, but that was more a matter of where they were brought up as opposed to the religion they held.

All that said, you can still be a Christian and a scientist. Many people have and still are.

What does she mean by science? It’s a broad term and science itself is always evolving because a lot of scientific theories turn out to be wrong or have another explanation.

As a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone. So then don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that.

Science comes from the Judeo-Christian worldview in how Nature is created to be comprehensible and consistent enough to test. Progressives and other non-Christians don't have any justification for science and they mainly resort to anything to get power.

Well, these comments made my day. Glad to see I’m not the only one pissed off by her crap. I agree she will one day answer for her actions here on earth. Oh, to be a fly on that wall.

Faith and science are two different things. Faith provides us strength in a chaotic, cruel, and unfair world. Science gives us a method to test hypotheses to gain objective knowledge about our universe. To conflate these two in a manner to put down others is an action of hubris.

Not in the slightest bit religious, but love the teachings of Yahweh to Abraham; good tenets of a man. That being said I used to take pot shots at the low hanging fruit of Christian or catholic jokes, but in my later years I’ve noticed it’s a subverted way to destroy western life and actually, through stoicism, live a more faith based life; the early jesus, hookers and stuff, but have come to respect it a ton. To each his own. I’ll tell you this I’ve never seen a leftist criticize Zionism or Islam and until that day I’ll defend western Abrahamics to the death

It's part of the Cloward and Piven strategy. Overwhelm the social services with unmanageable debt. Then when the system collapses and there are riots, implement communism.

Obama was a big fan of them. He also went to Columbia university where they taught.

I am not a Christian, but honor those who were scientists and Christian, and put their lives on the line to counter the centralized power of their day.

If "science" had all the answers, there would be no need for the scientific method.

The problem with "science" in the US (possibly other places) is the grant system bei g backed by a doctrine of "agree or no money".

I have several four letter words I'd love to say to her, but since I'm a fundamentalist Christian, who also holds a PhD in a STEM field, I will hold my tongue.

Science proves the Bible, and all the greatest scientists of the West were Christians. Her attitude is why they want to put Trump supporters in "reeducation" camps.

1
RiRo17 1 point ago +1 / -0

Is she saying she doesn't believe in science? She's always claiming to be Catholic, and says she prays for President Trump and all that crap. Don't tell me she's been lying about that all this time.

This is because they have a hard time getting around religious exemptions. They are aiming to undo protections for businesses not wishing to fund abortion and birth control, but they will try to get rid of religious exemptions at the same time. It's also an in to eliminate homeschooling.

Rotting_John_McCain 1 point ago +2 / -1

The idea that the religion of Christ is one thing, and science is another, is a mistaken idea, for there is no true religion without true science, and consequently there is no true science without true religion. [Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 17, pg. 51, 3 May 1874]
