West, basically will look like they follow the sun. Will only be visible for a short while right after sunset before they too "set".

The "Christmas Star" may have been a conjunction of Jupiter "the king star" and Venus "the mother star" which was so close they would have appeared to have merged.

“The two planets won't be this close to each other again until March 15, 2080.”

That will be my 90th birthday! Wow, I have something to look forward to!

We really need to travel more

Being stuck on this tiny speck of dirt in the universe really messes up our thinking.

All these things, planetary alignments, star alignments, total eclipses are constantly happening somewhere every second.

You just have to be at a particular location to observe it.

We need to have a lot of bases spread all over the solar system and universe.

I can imagine 1000 years from now people being really amused at our thinking today, attributing all kinds of magical things to otherwise routine things that just happened to randomly show up and be observed from our particular vantage point.
