Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley in the Alien franchise and Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise are two of the best female played action roles that I can remember. I haven't seen Wonder Woman so I can't comment on that.
The first one is a really good movie, though it does have a few "anti-men" sentiments in it. But the other comments have failed to realize the movie is the epitome of "wahmen empowerment." It isn't over the top with the narrative, and even takes shots at women occasionally. Absolutely worth the watch, one of the best DC movies.

Don't.
They went fully anti-Trump.
I've heard that about the new one. Is the first like that as well?

Also Gadot is a goddess.
