The British empire spans the entire world and has the biggest military every assembled. Thinking you can just pick up your muskets and topple an oppressive government that refuses to respect your rights or give you any say as it takes everything from you is just wishful thinking. Why don't you respect their laws and keep petitioning the King for redress of your grievances?
Imagine if we listened to these doomers 245 years ago. There's a lot of people here insisting we shouldn't resist tyranny because we'll get arrested or the oligarchs will go remote. None of this whining mentions anything our forefathers didn't have to deal with in 1775. They ignored the loyalists then and we should ignore them now.
They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
