Purdue objected because he thought the agriculture lobby in his state would lose out on cheap, foreign labor. Once it was explained that this bill was for big tech and wouldn't affect the farm industry in his state, he dropped his objection.
Scott objected ostensibly because it would take away green cards from hispanic people in Florida. Don't know if he had any other reasons.

Rand Paul is far from the worst US senator, but that doesn't mean I'll let him off the hook for bad decisions like not voicing an objection to S.386.
All it would have taken was a single senator voicing an objection to stop the unanimous consent motion.
