Just trying to give the “muh cops are just following orders” crowd some perspective.
I have 4 people in my close family that are LEO and I do business with non-family LEO on an almost daily basis, some of which I consider to be good friends. The TBL is just propaganda much like Climate Change. These people are trained with a US vs Them mentality until they are completely brainwashed. The US=The State, the them are the rest of us.
I have an uncle who was a Lt. in the State Police before being shot on duty and forced to retire due to his injuries in the 90's. When the Occupy WS thing was going on I asked him if he was there and was given an order to fire upon unarmed protestors would he. His response was "Of course, I wouldn't even give it a second thought." I looked up to this man my entire childhood and adult life, until then.

Believe it does happen that way. In my old city, there's been all kinds of cover ups for connected people. Hell, one guy even hit just about every parked car on a street, no charges ever came about.
Blue city cops are another cog in the Beijing Bought Bureaucratic machine. You put on that uniform you lose your humanity, your race, your culture no matter who you are.

I don’t care much for my local police either. They’re all mostly crooked. But I can say that I know of 2 times they arrested local mayors for driving drunk.
