Why is it impossible to have a bill that only addresses one issue, without all the pork barrelling and special interests? It's no wonder government is so broken.

There should be laws against amending bills outside of their scope!

K Street lobbyists for international corporations and foreign governments submitting hundreds of bills that all get bundled as part of swamp deal making

That was the idea behind the line-item veto, but it got shot down as unconstitutional.
