No, the trick is, they outsource this stuff to an official state approved monopoly, and thus any constitutional questions are bypassed.

The state isn't allowed to crush your first amendment rights. But if the state filters all public communications through 3 or 4 megacorps, and those corporations crush your speech, it's legal.

That's a better way of putting it and essentially what they already do with social media, streaming, banking, etc. The government doesn't have to directly curtail your rights if they have a corporation do it on their behalf. That the corporations are also a part of a collective with other financial interests and our political parties muddies the waters, but that doesn't matter when the judicial system is also compromised.

There is a term for that fusion of Media, Corporations and the State. It's called Fascism.

Maybe Corporations should be... incorporated, the way states and cities are. So the same restrictions that apply to Congress apply to them.
