We are born free, and that fact is inalienable. We are not born diseased, a threat, or a danger to society. Yet even if there were a virus with a 50% mortality rate, mandates and lockdowns would still violate the constitution. There is no exclusionary clause that says the right to peaceably assemble disappears during a pandemic. There is no amendment that allows governors to deprive citizens of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness during a pandemic.
Thus everyone involved in this attack on our rights as free men is by definition an enemy of the state.
The disease situation was much, much worse at the time the Bill of Rights was written. They were dealing with smallpox, cholera, typhoid fever, and more. And people still were given the explicit right to peaceably assemble.
They clearly meant your rights would be intact while diseases with double-digit mortality rates were going around. It's only logical that they meant those rights would be intact during a fairly mild flu-like illness outbreak too.
