It’s ridiculous. The government should not be picking winners and losers in this pandemic by determining who gets the privilege to remain open or not. Every business is essential to someone. Every worker is essential to someone.

I just had a sanctimonious bitch on fuckbook tell me why all the places she wanted to shop were essential and how other businesses were not. I can't even make this shit up.

I think it was Justice Gorsuch who pointed out in a recent ruling how the definition of “essential” business aligned very well with secular conveniences. I was walking through my neighborhood today and saw a bunch of bars and restaurants that appear to have closed permanently as a result of the pandemic. It’s a shame

We are still to prosperous as a nation. People aren't desperate enough yet to enact revolutionary change. But, they'll get there. It's not going to stop, what the globo-homos are doing to us. And yes, every job feeds a person or a family. We are all essential.

As long as there are bread and circuses the people will let the city burn around them. Once they no longer have bread and the circuses are outlawed then they will join in burning the city down.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up.

I think the personal pain and consequence is just starting to reach a lot of folks. Many made it to summer when things seemed like they were opening up. The left has now turned the tyranny knob up to 11 and it's really hurting people. Combine that with the fact our vote power has been stolen and it's volatile combination.

I definitely see things going that way. But not enough if us are uncomfortable enough yet. Yet.

An ex-friend of mine is bitching on Instagram that she can’t get a test and is imploring people to stay home in order to save the tests for “essential workers” like her. I can not stand the level of selfishness and hypocrisy of people like her.

Meanwhile she’s going out for some stupid light show for fun. And she’s applauding our governor for shutting down everything again. Yet she’s virtual signaling and telling people to “support small businesses”. How the hell are people going to support small businesses when they’re not allowed to open?

I was just at Walmart yesterday. I'm not even shitting you, there must have been 50 of those insta-cart walmart people filling grocery orders. They were everywhere. I realize some people have immunocompromised problems and have probably always used shopping services in flu season or asked a friend to help. But this? I'm 100% sure this is the result of pearl clutching assholes screaming about how nobody should leave their house (unless it's a light show I guess like your asshole friend) while simultaneously abusing hourly workers. They willingly put this massive herd of hourly workers at possible exposure (of a cold, nobody is fooling me, but they'll say it's deadly) while finger waggling at the rest of us. They can fuck off so hard and deep I hope it stabs a major artery and bleed out is imminent.

I agree. The underlying problem is that we listen, when we should not. Yes they will push back, but they do not have the resources to deal with all of the people that are upset.

Take off the mask, stop social distance, open your business-NOW. The government rules at our pleasure. If you dont want to get covid- stay home!

Walmart, Target, and Cosco are all essential to Chy-Na.

DomTullipso 22 points ago +23 / -1

Take your mask off then. At this point, you're part of the problem.

MerchantMan99 10 points ago +11 / -1

The more mask wearing there is, the bigger the illusion that the black plague is around the corner, and thus the lockdowns continue to get extended. This will NEVER end if people don't take off the fucking masks.

Yup, in Massachusetts even with the governor being a complete lockdowner, Marshalls and any mall related store are packed. But my local hole in the wall can't be open.

7
Fenianlad 7 points ago +7 / -0

What about the bar/restaurant in the mall? What do the germs do when they encounter that paradox?

3
Bonami 3 points ago +3 / -0

The town he lives in Swampscott and the neighboring towns have many of their stores and restaurants still open, most are take out, but they are open.

Target has 25% increase in sales - Covid 19 is their best marketing executive.

In Southern California many Targets are attached to malls and remained open selling crap without any cap on customers walking in while many independent shops stayed closed for months.

Target, Costco and WalMart are protected by the thousands of face masks they have in stock and are immune from the rona.

4
muppeton 4 points ago +4 / -0

You know what would be more effective social distancing?

Opening as many damn stores as possible for everyone is not crowding up in the same handful of stores.

Also: note the ZERO amt of social distancing in the waiting line.

I don't live in a population center but I visited one today. I was sitting at a stoplight and noticed people lined up outside a bank. I was just thinking how strange that was after coming out of a mall with literally thousands of people in it and nobody was lined up for anything there.
