Hi all,

I think it would be a good idea to cover what I would argue are books everyone should read to at least gain additional perspective. Let’s paste some links in her! Looking forward to seeing some stuff

pretty basic, pretty sure almost everyone here as read this stuff but anyways

the constitution

art of the deal

side note: the severity with which wikipedia is slamming G Edward Griffin should be a sign to everybody that he knows what he's talking about.

The Creature From Jekyll Island https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._Edward_Griffin

Reading is last century, too much left to interpretations and imagination, let alone translation.

Iran, Hong Kong, Saudi, India, Africa, Syria. Many perspective changing videos available online that are soon to be scrubbed.

^^THIS.

One of the things they are trying to do with tech dependence is to erase memory. And moving us to an entirely digital world is a big part of this.

Consider this perspective, you brain isn't developed enough yet to understand the nuance of an image.

Billion dollar companies spends billions promoting and branding images. Flags are imagines. The constitution itself is more image than text. Go a head ask a judge about 2A. See how many out of 100 agree. Yet all 100 agree the Constitution by it self is where they derive their authority.

The argument isn't about image vs word. It's about you wanting an additional perspective. I'm saying books isn't going to help you because you mind warps whatever you read into something pleasant & familiar.

There's a certain type of bookworm that I despise, I grew up around them. No better than stoners, lives in make-belief. Great for bedtime stories, and doe eyed kids. Same kinds that let the corruption get this bad.

Everyone read 1984, everyone read Fahrenheit, animal farm yet look where we are.

The existentialists noticed this shitty fake book world and shook people mind the best they can. How can a person do such unthinkable acts like murder? The murder is the easy part, conscience is the hard part. Knowing you can take life but can draw the line.

What word can impart what happened to Kyle? or the damage to that guy's arm? Why did Kyle stopped at the disarm? He already killed two people who didn't have a gun, why spare the guy with a gun?

If you like the blue pill you can enjoy it.

Constitution and Declaration.

The federalist papers (and all the other founding documents at LOC)

https://guides.loc.gov/federalist-papers/full-text

Everything John Locke ever wrote, but specifically Two treatises of Government : https://www.thefederalistpapers.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Two-Treatises-of-Government-by-John-Locke.pdf

Then go back to LOC and search John Locke and read how others interpreted him.

Adam Smith's Wealth of nations: http://www.bibliomania.com/2/1/65/112/frameset.html

De Tocqueville: https://archive.org/details/democracyinameri00tocq_7

George Washington's War by Robert leckie.

Rise to Rebellion, and The Glorious Cause by Jeff Shaara--all his other books too. And Michael Shaara's books.

Poor Richard's Almanac. Hell, look up everything the founders ever wrote on LOC and you will have some good shit regardless. All their documents are there.

For non war stuff: Godel, Escher Bach: An Eternal Golden braid.

ALL OF ROBERT HEINLEIN (except his first book For Us The Living). They ALL have important shit.

Isaac Asimov's Foundation series--equally important shit.

A Canitcle For leibowitz by Walter Miller.

Everything by Nevile Shute. But leave On the Beach for last. The Legacy is excellent.

All of C.S. lewis, Mark Twain, George Orwell, Ayn Rand. HUXLEY.

ETA: VATTEL'S LAW OF NATIONS. Our founders were very familiar with this.
