I do fault them for the sheer number of pages in these bills. I completely understand why they do it, they don't want normies poking around. It's obfuscation by complexity. The more complex the bill, the more pages, the less questions people ask. Even most reporters don't dig through the bills anymore, they just use the clift note version. There was a time when 5,000 page bills were unusual, but it's the norm now. Pelosi mentioned once that you have to pass the bill to know what's in it. She wasn't lying about that.
